The ‘Intro to Fashion Styling’ short course is designed to equip you with the essential skills, knowledge, and insight to excel in fashion styling. Whether you're an aspiring stylist or someone looking to elevate your career, business, blog, social media, or passion projects, this course is a must. You'll explore fashion styling in-depth and learn the intricacies of creating the perfect shot, from concept to completion.

In this two-day weekend workshop, you'll work hands-on to style your very own fashion shoot. From interpreting a brief to sourcing props and perfecting the look, you’ll gain experience in every aspect of the styling process. You’ll also receive one-on-one time with professional stylist Bianca Christoff, and leave with a professionally styled shot to add to your portfolio.

Get creative with constructing DIY backgrounds and learn how to bring your fashion concepts to life in unique and visually impactful ways.

    Master the essentials for building your fashion stylist kit (you'll be surprised by what’s included!). Explore the key elements that elevate a look, from fabric choices to accessories, and dive into the psychology of fashion—understanding how certain styles can evoke specific emotions. Learn how to create impactful looks that don’t just stand out, but also resonate emotionally with your audience, leaving a lasting impression.

 

Create Your Own Styled Look.

Put everything you’ve learned so far into action. You’ll create your own styled look from start to finish. Decipher the brief, figure out what props you’ll need and put together the finish look for photographing.

You’ll leave with images that you can use to start your stylist portfolio.

Essential Information

Course Structure

The weekend workshop runs over two consecutive Saturdays, 10am-4pm both days.

Pre-requisites

No previous skills or knowledge are required, but a knowledge of fashion is beneficial.

 
 

Required Materials.

On Day One,

Just bring yourself and a passion for styling! All other materials are provided.

Day Two

While an array of backgrounds and props are supplied, we encourage you to bring your products, props and backgrounds for your styled fashion shoot. Bring along your phone or digital camera for taking your own shots along the way. Some props and backgrounds will be provided.

Styling is thirsty work! Refreshments are provided.

 
 

Attainment

You’ll receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the course.

A 50% deposit is due upon enrolment, with the balance due one week before commencement of the course.
